Toor and Channa Dal Tomato Chuttney

Toor and channa dal tomato chuttney is a different taste.The same ingredients to prepare the tomato chuttney(except: Toor and channa dal).Quick,easy and simple.I am serve this recipe with"Dosa,Idli,Curd Rice and Boiled Rice". 

Ingredients:
  1. Toor Dal-1tsp
  2. Channa Dal-1tsp
  3. Tomato-2
  4. Onion-1/3cup
  5. Garlic-1cloves
  6. Red-chili-2 1/2
  7. Cumin Seeds-1/4tsp
  8. Pepper Corns-a few
  9. Shred Coconut-1/4cup
  10. Tamarind-a few
  11. Curry Leaves
  12. Salt-to taste
  13. Oil-for frying
  14. Asafoetida-a pinch
  15. Water-3tsp



Preparation:
  1. Take a cutter and finely chopped the onions and tomatoes.
  2. Heat a pan,add 1/2tsp of oil,toor dal,channa dal and fry well.
  3. Dal turns in golden color add finely chopped onions,tomatoes,cumin seeds,red-chili,garlic,pepper corns and fry well.
  4. After 5mins switch off the flame.
  5. In a blender,drop fried ingredients,shred coconut,salt,tamarind,water and blend in a smooth paste.
  6. Heat a pan,add 1tsp of oil,mustard seeds,curry leaves and asafoetida
  7. Place a chuttney in a bowl,drop the poppy seeds and serve it.
